What are Naturopaths?

Naturopaths, also known as NDs or naturopathic doctors, are healthcare providers who use natural therapies to support and stimulate healing. They offer a wide range of services to people of all ages including acupuncture, nutrition counseling, botanical medicine, lifestyle counseling and the use of medical grade supplements. The naturopath takes a thorough health history in your first appointment and comes up with a comprehensive and researched plan made for your specific needs. Follow up appointments happen on a case by case basis to ensure improvements are being made and to make any necessary changes to your treatment(s).

All licensed naturopaths complete a minimum of three years of university-level training, including pre-medical courses, as well as four years at an accredited naturopathic medical program. They must also complete and pass a series of practical and written licensing exams.

Naturopathic doctors can support a wide range of health conditions including, but not limited to: female hormonal complaints (perimenopause, infertility, menstrual concerns – painful, irregular, heavy), general wellbeing and health promotion, digestive conditions (IBS, IBD, SIBO, bloating, nausea, heartburn), low energy levels, stress and mental health concerns (anxiety, depression, ADHD), autoimmune disorders (psoriasis, Hashimoto’s, Grave’s Disease etc.), perinatal support (prenatal and postpartum care) and much more!
